Preview environment

Do not submit real customer, identity-document, driving-licence, or payment information while the website is marked as a development preview. Driver details entered in the current test flow are used in the browser for that journey and are not intentionally stored in the administration database.

Who is responsible for the data

The final policy will identify the legal entity acting as controller for each market, its registered address, privacy contact, and any local representative or data-protection officer required by law.

Information a production service may process

This may include identity and contact details, date of birth, driving-licence information, booking and vehicle records, route and location information, flight details, payment status and transaction references, support communications, incident records, preferences, and technical security logs.

Why information may be used

Typical purposes include providing quotes and rentals, checking eligibility and availability, processing payments and deposits, managing cross-border permission, preventing fraud, providing support, handling incidents and claims, meeting tax or legal obligations, improving service reliability, and communicating where consent or another lawful basis permits it.

Sample photographs

Some sample photographs load directly from Unsplash’s image service. Loading these images sends your IP address and ordinary browser request information to that service. See Unsplash’s privacy policy for information about its processing.

Payment information

Production card entry should be supplied by an approved payment provider. UbiqCar should not store raw card numbers or security codes. The privacy policy will name the relevant provider and explain the payment data it processes.

Who may receive information

Necessary information may be shared with rental operating companies, branches, payment and fraud providers, email and document services, roadside assistance, insurers and claims handlers, technology providers, professional advisers, and authorities where legally required. The final policy will identify categories and safeguards more precisely.

International transfers and retention

The live service must document where information is stored, any transfers outside the relevant jurisdiction, the safeguards used, and retention periods for quotes, bookings, payments, incidents, support requests, marketing choices, and security logs.

Your choices and rights

Depending on applicable law, customers may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive their information; object to certain uses; withdraw consent; and complain to a supervisory authority. The production policy will explain how to submit and verify a request.

Security

Administrative access uses a signed, HTTP-only session cookie. Production customer data must only be stored after managed database access, encryption, audit logging, least-privilege permissions, backups, retention controls, and incident procedures are configured.

Updates and contact

Material policy updates will receive a new effective date. A verified privacy email and postal address will be published before production customer data is accepted.
